Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the proliferation changes of gallbladder mucosa in cholecystitis patients with pancreaticobiliary maljunction.

Methods

To identify the pancreaticobiliary maljunction patients from adults with cholecystitis by endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and by intraoperative cholangiography in 4 years;to compare the proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA)positive rates of gallbladder mucosa with those adults patients of normal pancreaticobiliary junction.

Results

There were 17 cholecystitis patients with pancreaticobiliary maljunction picked out by endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and by intraoperative cholangiography during last 4 years,in which the proliferating cell nuclear antigen positive rates of gallbladder mucosa were(32.05±5.17)%;when it went to comparison group, the proliferating cell nuclear antigen positive rates were(24.16±6.33)%.The differences of proliferating cell nuclear antigen positive rates between two groups above were statistically significant(P﹤0.01).

Conclusion

The gallbladder mucosa proliferation of cholecystitis patients with pancreaticobiliary maljunction is higher than that of patients with normal pancreaticobiliary junction.
