Abstract:

Objective

To investigate pathogenesis and prevention of cardiocerebral vascular accident of elderly patients after abdominal operation.

Methods

A retrospective analysis of the diagnosis and treatment was carried out of sixty-four aged patients with abdominal operation for postoperative cardiovascular and cerebrovascular incidence, in which 32 cases were complicated with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease (Group A) and 32 cases of abdominal operation without cardiocerebrovascular disease (Group B).

Results

Eleven patients in Group A had postoperative cerebral infarction, including 6 cases of cerebral embolism; 4 cerebral hemorrhage; 6 myocardial infarction; 5 ECG myocardial ischemia, the changes of ST segment in 9 cases; 2 cases of acute heart failure, arrhythmia in 5 cases; 3 cases of Group B had postoperative cerebral infarction, including 1 case of cerebral embolism; 1 cerebral hemorrhage; 1 myocardial infarction; 2 ECG myocardial ischemia, the changes of ST segment in 2 cases; 1 with arrhythmia. The occurrence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease was significantly higher in Group A than that in the B group(P < 0.05).

Conclusion

For patients with lacunar cerebral infarction, cerebral infarction, myocardial infarction, myocardial ischemia, ST segment changes of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease, the operation risk is high due to their prone to sudden death and cardiocerebral vascular accident, and needs attention from clinicians.
