Budd-Chiari syndrome (B-CS) is a kind of post-hepatic portal hypertension, which is threatening human health and occurs differently in epidemiology. With the development of basic and clinical research of B-CS, its etiology, pathophysiology and clinical therapeutics have been achieved great progress. Because of the differences of geography and etiology, the coagulation and anticoagulation therapy on B-CS are controversial both at home and abroad all the time. In this paper, the current status of anticoagulation therapy on B-CS in recent years is reviewed.
