Abstract:

Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is the most common thyroid cancer. It has been found that the development of PTC is closely related to thyroid stimulating hormone receptor (TSHR). TSHR mutation is not uncommon in PTC, which is related to lymph node metastasis, and it can also induce PTC. PTC has a high risk of TSHR promoter methylation, which may contribute to the pathological diagnosis and stage of PTC. The level of TSHR transcription in peripheral blood of PTC increases significantly before operation, recurrence and metastasis, while it decreases significantly after operation, which is helpful for preoperative diagnosis and postoperative follow-up of PTC, and it also related to PTC lymph node metastasis. TSHR protein has abnormal expression level and distribution in PTC, which may also be related to the distant metastasis of PTC. In addition, other genes such as BRAF V600E mutation, lncRNA-PVT1 and miRNA-106a may regulate the expression of TSHR in PTC.
