Diagnosis, treatment and preventive measures for medical pancreas injury: a report of eighteen cases

Objective

To find the measures of the early diagnosis, treatments and preventive measures for medical injury of pancreas.

Methods

The data of the 18 cases with medical injury of pancreas in our hospital from January 1995 to December 2009 were analyzed retrospectively. And the causes of their injuries, early diagnosis, treatment and preventive measures were analyzed.

Results

All the patients were early detected and cured after treatment in time, no case died.

Conclusions

It is crucial to prevent the medical injury of pancreas. Peritoneal exudates amylase test, ultrasound, CT and magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) could help getting early diagnosis.
