Strain elastography in differentiating benign and malignant thyroid nodules

Abstract

Abstract:

Thyroid nodule is of common occurrence in clinic. Differential diagnosis between benign and malignant thyroid nodules is the key point. Ultrasound elastography is a new technology in recent years and a good complement to conventional ultrasound. This review article is a summarized study on the value of strain elastography in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules.
