Abstract:
Objective
To investigate the rejection mechanisms of cellular immune in xenogeneic hepatocytes transplantation between tilapia and rat.
Methods
The outbred SD rats were divided randomly into two groups, the control group and transplantation group. And the tilapia(donor) hepatocytes(2×107) were transplanted into the spleen of the rat(recipient) in the transplantation group ,normal sodium was injected into the spleen of the rat (recipient) in the control group. The histological characteristics of transplanted tilapia hepatocytes were observed by HE staining. The CD4/CD8 lymphocytes around the grafts were detected with immunohistochemistrical method.
Results
Grafted hepatocytes disappeared quickly after transplantation. Only a few living hepatocytes could be found in spleens after 8 hours. The CD4/CD8 lymphocytes were congregated around the grafts at 4 hours post-graft.
Conclusion
The cellular immune responses participate in the rejection of xenogeneic hepatocytes transplantation between tilapia and rat.
