Abstract:
Objective
To study the diagnosis and treatment of complications of thyriod carcinoma.
Methods
The data of 106 cases with thyroid carcinoma who were confirmed by operation and pathology in our hospital from October 1999 to October 2008 were reviewed and analysed.
Results
The diagnostic accordance rate of intraoperative frozen section was 97.2%(106/109),which was notablely higher than the preoperative B-ultrasound,CT and fine needle aspiration cytology. The diagnostic accuracy of B-ultrasound, CT and fine needle aspiration cytology were 25.2%(16/62), 80.1%(24/30) and 78.1%(25/32).
Conclusions
Intraoperative frozen pathology is a reliable technique in diagnosing thyroid carcinoma.The operation of thyriod carcinoma exist certain complications.
