Implementation and evaluation of touching service in nursing care

Objective

To explore the implementation of touching service(TS)in nursing care,improving the quality of nursing and the patient's satisfaction rate and enhance the nursing team build-up.

Methods

To establish the value of touching service, the rules and steps for touching service were instituted and carried out the training. The patient's satisfaction rate and the extent of knowing about for nurse in-charge were investigated before and after this activity.

Results

The patient's satisfaction rate for nursing care and the extent of knowing about for nurse in-charge after touching service were significant improved compared with those without touch service.

Conclusion

The implementation of touching service in nursing care can improve patient's satisfaction rate,quality of nursing and enhance the cohesion of nursing team.
