Budd-Chiari syndrome and sterility

Abstract:

Due to such factors as changes of hormone levels, disturbance of vena cava blood reflux and prevalent hypercoagulation in pregnant women, female with Budd-Chiari syndrome are prone to be sterile or have repeated habitual abortion. Through a rational and prompt treatment, including radical surgery, transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic stent shunt and intervention therapy, some women can rectify paramenia and increase the possibility of being pregnant.
