Abstract:
Objective
To investigate the role of serum leptin and insulin in the production and progress of primary liver cancer.
Methods
The serum leptin and insulin of 70 primary liver cancer patients were detected by radioimmunoassay and electrochemiluminescence respectively. The relationship between leptin and other values was analyzed.
Results
Serum leptin and insulin levels were significantly higher in primary liver cancer group compared to that in the control group and the BMI of primary liver cancer group was significantly lower than healthy control group.
Conclusion
Leptin and insulin induced the malnutrition in primary liver cancer patients, which may be the risk factors of primary liver cancer.
