Abstract:
Objective To explore the feasibility of a new portacaval transposition model establish.
Methods The allograft rat model of portacaval transposition was established by using vascular cuff way. At the end of the installation of a cuff of left renal vein, the left renal vein and the portal vein stump by cuff connected, affixed above the left renal vein ligation and cut the inferior vena cava, the inferior vena cava by allogeneic cuff and superior mesenteric vessels and venous connection. Another 10 rats served as controls after resection of the left kidney. Postoperative body weight in rats, biochemical parameters, MRI and pathological changes of the liver were detected.
Results The survival rate of experimental group were 97.50% (39/40) after 2 weeks. Compared with control group, albumin, alanine aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase and total bilirubin, weight and other indicators of experimental group showed no significant difference after 2 months. Pathological examination were normal.
Conclusion Using allograft vascular cuff to establish rat model of portacaval transposition is feasible.
