Clinical observation of combination regimen containing Lobaplatin in treating advanced breast cancer patients

Abstract:

Objective

To observe the efficacy and toxicity of combination regimen containing Lobaplatin in treatment of advanced breast cancer.

Methods

A total of thirty-three patients with ad-vanced breast cancer were treated with Lobaplatin (30 mg/m2) and another chemotherapeutic drug with twenty-one days as a cycle. The efficacy and side effects were evaluated after at least two cycles of chemo-therapy.

Results

The efficacy and toxicity could be evaluated in all patients with 1 of CR, 11 of PR, 14 of SD and 7 of PD. The response rate was 36.4% and the disease control rate was 78.8%. The median pro-gression-free survival was 6.5 months and the median overall survival was 14 months. The 1-year survival rate was 75.8%. The main side effects were myelosuppression and gastrointestinal reaction and could be well tolerated.

Conclusion

Combination regimen containing Lobaplatin for advanced breast cancer is ef-fective and well tolerated.
